There are both private and public Humboldt County camp grounds here in Redwood Country. Campgrounds of all descriptions are available, from RV parks to back country pack-in sites to boat-in campgrounds reachable only by water.

Want to camp on the edge of the oyster beds, or would you prefer a site that has Roosevelt Elk walking by on the way to their watering hole – or maybe you like camping on a lagoon where there is absolute quiet and the wonder of the stars at night.

Humboldt County camping has all those and more. Public parks offer many of the popular campsites such as. Humboldt County Parks with camping facilities include A.W. Way, Big Lagoon, Clam Beach, Samoa Boat Ramp (RV only), Swimmer's Delight, Pamplin Grove (Group only).

California State Parks offering camping within Humboldt County are Benbow Recreation Area, Humboldt Lagoons, Humboldt Redwoods, Patrick's Point, Prairie Creek Redwoods, Grizzly Creed Redwoods, Richardson's Grove, Sinkyone Wilderness.

Humboldt County camping within Redwood National Park is also operated by the California State Park system.
